The Mason Bulldogs boys' soccer team faced Holt on the Ram's home field Tuesday night with the Bulldogs coming away with a 4-1 victory. Mason scored twice before the game was 11 minutes old. After that initial surge, the Rams were able to slow, but not stop, Mason’s offense with some exceptional goalkeeping.
In the early morning hours the out county units were dispatched to Alaiedon Township for a suspicious person knocking on doors. Dispatch gave a description of the subject and the vehicle in which he was driving. They went to the area and unable to locate him.
Holt has been known as a hub of activity, especially in the summer, and this summer proves no different. The Holt Hometown Festival kicks off Friday, August 19th, 2016 and the fun continues through Saturday August 20th. The OMIA Foundation is hosting its 2nd Annual Run for Scholarships on August 19, 2016. Runners, volunteers, and many alumni look forward to the 5K, 10K, and 1 mile runs that will start in the Holt High School Memorial Garden on the west side of the building located at 5885 Holt Rd. Registration starts at 6p and the runs begin at 7p.

Development partners and community leaders received a hard hat tour and briefing on construction progress for Prestwick Village, a new 66-unit affordable housing community with support services in Holt that will serve individuals and families, including veterans struggling with homelessness and people with disabilities.
Delhi Township was one of three municipalities in Michigan to be awarded with the “Gold” level of achievement from the Michigan Green Communities Network, a partnership of the Michigan Municipal League, Michigan Association of Counties and the Michigan Township Association.
