Do you recall the first time you read a questionable book? One you scurried away from the purview of your parents? It’s a tough question for me to answer. I always felt comfortable picking and choosing what I wanted to read, aided and abetted by an aunt who was a librarian.
DeYeya E. Jones has been named to the board as a general member. Hundreds of people are diagnosed with cancer daily across the United States. Whether it is a friend, family member or an acquaintance, cancer has touched the majority of people. The first Lansing Light the Night 5K Walk will give area people affected by cancer the opportunity to show support and take a step in the fight against cancer.

My dad fed my propensity for a certain children’s book series through the bookstore and local library. I was in the second grade when I got my first library card, during a class trip to the public library down the street.

The Mason Bulldogs boys' soccer team faced Holt on the Ram's home field Tuesday night with the Bulldogs coming away with a 4-1 victory. Mason scored twice before the game was 11 minutes old. After that initial surge, the Rams were able to slow, but not stop, Mason’s offense with some exceptional goalkeeping.
